The ACT College Entrance Test
The ACT College Entrance Test is for Juniors and Seniors planning on going to a four year college after high school. The registration fee for taking the Basic level test is $60. The Basic level test plus the Writing test fee is $85.
Test dates and registration deadlines for the current year are shown below. Be sure to put West Lyon’s school code on your registration packet so that we will receive a copy of your ACT score for purposes of sending it out to colleges with your transcript.

West Lyon ACT Prep for 2021-2022
West Lyon will once again provide preparation for our students taking the ACT test in April 2019. Sessions will be provided by classroom teachers to help students work through example test questions and test taking techniques. Subject areas that will be covered are Math, Science, Reading, Writing and general test taking skills. These sessions will be offered half days during the school day on the following dates:
Friday’s, March 18, 25 & Wed, March 30
ACT Online Prep
In addition to some online preparation tools available at the www.actstudent.org website, and there are also online preparation questions available at www.number2.com.
